Ten maintenance checks to organize

  1. Keep the correct documents. Store the model identity, purchase record, matching manual and service information together. Confirm the version before ordering a replacement part or following new advice.
  2. Remove damp items after use. Take out towels and clothing. Follow the model’s drying directions rather than using the cabin as a heated drying cupboard.
  3. Inspect accessible interior surfaces. Look for residue, unusual damage or persistent dampness. Record changes rather than diagnosing a material defect from appearance alone.
  4. Use the approved cleaning routine. Treat timber, glass and equipment separately. Do not improvise an all-surfaces wet-cleaning or sanitizing method.
  5. Keep openings and access clear. Check that storage, textiles and surrounding furniture have not obstructed required ventilation or service access.
  6. Check the door’s ordinary operation. Note new binding, visible damage or a change in fit. Do not alter hinges, glazing or seals beyond the maintenance allowed in the instructions.
  7. Observe normal controls and operation. Record error codes, unexpected shutdowns or unusual behavior. Do not repeatedly reset a fault while continuing to use the sauna.
  8. Keep electrical work within the service boundary. Do not open electrical enclosures, probe wiring or replace protective devices as routine owner maintenance. Use the manufacturer’s support and qualified electrical help.
  9. Follow location-specific care. An outdoor model may have requirements that do not apply to an indoor cabin. Confirm the exact exterior surface, permitted treatment and shelter requirements before doing work.
  10. Keep a simple service record. Record the concern, photographs, model, support advice, approved work and replacement parts. This makes later troubleshooting more precise.

Interior wood and exterior treatment are different

The ECO manual specifies bare interior timber and excludes applied oils, waxes, sealants and other wood treatments there. Do not add cedar or teak oil to that interior because a general maintenance list recommends it.

Keep clean, soft cloths and only the surface-specific supplies permitted for your model. For the ECO, the manual recommends sitting on a clean towel, removing damp items afterward and routine cleaning with a well-wrung cloth. Choose accessories and care products from the matching instructions rather than a universal shopping list.

For outdoor wood or a different model, obtain the correct instructions for the exact surface. A requirement to maintain an exterior finish does not authorize coating a cabin interior. If the supplied documents disagree, ask for written clarification before applying a product.

Choose intervals from use and instructions

Follow specified checks and respond to actual condition. A fixed monthly or quarterly schedule cannot establish that every task is appropriate for every unit. Frequently used equipment may need attention at different intervals from a lightly used home cabin.

Keep cleaning and maintenance distinct: wiping permitted surfaces addresses residue, while a new error code, damaged connection or unexplained operating change needs the appropriate service response.

Know when to stop and ask for help

If you notice damaged electrical parts, repeated faults, unusual burning smells or another unexplained change, stop using the equipment and request model-specific guidance. Do not mask odors or continue experimenting with settings.

Review the warranty alongside the care instructions. Keep the response for your exact unit; neither a maintenance checklist nor a warranty headline guarantees a particular lifespan.
