Questions You Should Ask Before Choosing Your Sauna.

Most premium saunas get sold without anyone asking the right questions. Here are eight we think every buyer should answer before they commit - to us, or to anyone else.

What is the sauna actually built with?

Most home saunas use plywood, particleboard, or veneers held together with adhesives that off-gas formaldehyde and VOCs for years. Ours don't. Heavenly Heat is built with solid FSC Certified Canadian Hemlock and medical-grade materials — no adhesives, no plywood, no chemical finishes. Ask any brand to show you the material spec sheet before you buy. If they can't, that is your answer.

Will I actually use it daily, or is this an expensive closet decoration?

This is the question most buyers skip and regret. Our customers average 4.7 sessions per week six months after install — because solid wood, low EMF, and a single-button start lower the friction to using it daily. If you cannot see yourself using a piece of equipment three or more times a week, the question is not which sauna — it's whether to buy one at all. We will tell you that on a consult call.

Do I need to renovate my house to install it?

Mostly no. Our infrared saunas plug into a standard 120V outlet. Combination saunas (which include a traditional stone heater) need a 240V hookup an electrician can install in a few hours. We send a pre-install checklist with every order, so you know exactly what's required before delivery — not after.

What are the health benefits of using a traditional sauna?

Traditional saunas can improve circulation, stress relief, relaxation of muscles, detoxification through sweating, and potential immune system enhancement. Regular sauna use is also associated with improved cardiovascular health and skin purification.

How hot do traditional saunas get?

Our Traditional Saunas will reach 185F+.

How long should I stay in a traditional sauna?

Appropriate sauna session durations vary between individuals. It is recommended to start at a lower temperature for 10-15 minutes and increase the temperature and duration as you become more accustomed to the heat. It is important to progress slowly and listen to your body when using a sauna. Exit the sauna if you start to feel uncomfortable or dizzy.

Are the EMF and ELF readings independently verified?

Most premium saunas address EMF but ignore ELF — and most don't share their actual milligauss readings. Heavenly Heat is dual-field shielded against both using a custom faraday cage, with third-party test data available on on our website. Ask any brand for their independent testing report. If the readings aren't documented, the shielding isn't either.

What size sauna do I actually need for my space?

A 1-person Far Infrared fits a master closet or basement corner. A 2-person Far Infrared or Red Light fits a den or home gym. 3- and 4-person models need a dedicated room. Take our 2-minute quiz or talk to a specialist before you commit — sizing wrong is the most expensive mistake you can make.

What ventilation is required for a traditional sauna?

There should be a 2 inch gap between the exterior of the sauna and any walls or the ceiling. You do not need any extra ventilation systems installed in your home.
