Fast Efficient Heating

Our Traditional Saunas get up to temperature in 20-30 minutes. They will reach 185F+. If you are new to smaller residential saunas, 160F feels a lot hotter in these than it does in a large gym sauna.

Ventilation

These saunas come with a floor vent and two retractable vents (one on the ceiling and one on the wall across from the heater). This allows the user to control airflow in the sauna.

No Wood Glue

The common building practice for saunas is to frame the walls with plywood and glue the advertised wood to the inside and outside. We don’t do that. We use 100% non-resinous Canadian Hemlock without any glues in the construction process.

Heat Emission

Sauna rocks absorb and release heat, a crucial aspect of traditional saunas. They soak up the energy from the sauna’s heater and steadily radiate it, maintaining a consistent temperature.

Steam Generation

When water is poured on the rocks in a hot sauna, it vaporizes, and creates the humid, steamy atmosphere that is a signature of traditional heat saunas.

Radiant Heat

Sauna rocks emit radiant heat, a key feature in creating the enveloping warmth of a heat sauna. This type of heat transfer is efficient and adds depth to the sauna experience

Circulatory Health

The heat of a traditional sauna, and especially the radiant heat from the sauna rocks encourages blood vessel dilation and improves circulation.

FAQ's

A traditional sauna, or Finnish sauna, is a type of sauna that uses heated rocks or a stove to produce heat or steam, creating a high-temperature environment for relaxation and wellness.

Traditional saunas can improve circulation, stress relief, relaxation of muscles, detoxification through sweating, and potential immune system enhancement. Regular sauna use is also associated with improved cardiovascular health and skin purification.

Our Traditional Saunas will reach 185F+

Appropriate sauna session durations vary between individuals. It is recommended to start at a lower temperature for 10-15 minutes and increase the temperature and duration as you become more accustomed to the heat. It is important to progress slowly and listen to your body when using a sauna. Exit the sauna if you start to feel uncomfortable or dizzy.

Yes, our traditional saunas are designed for in-home use.

There should be a 2 inch gap between the exterior of the sauna and any walls or the ceiling. You do not need any extra ventilation systems installed in your home.
